The German Society of Nature Photography has announced the winners of this years competition. Konrad Wothe has taken the overall top spot with his photo of a ‘Dipper’ flying through a waterfall.

"I lost count of the number of trips I took to the dipper's nesting site before I was reasonably satisfied with the result. And even now, I keep going back — and always will — because the dipper is one of my absolute favourite birds."
